To protect the capital and generate income through investments in high quality fixed income securities like Debt / Money Market Instruments and Government Securities maturing on or before the maturity date of the Scheme.

To preserve capital and create income by investing in high-quality fixed-income assets such as debt and money market instruments, as well as government securities, that mature on or before the Scheme's maturity date. However, there is no guarantee that the scheme's investment aim will be met. Only the Dividend Option with Payout Facility is available in the Scheme.
Under this Option, Investors can donate 50% of the dividend amount to Indian Cancer Society and the rest shall be paid to the Unit holder.

The Unit holder shall be eligible to receive deduction under Section 80G of the Income-tax Act, 1961 on the amount of donation made to ICS from the dividends declared under the Scheme.
The amount of gift given to ICS from the profits declared under the Scheme would be eligible for a deduction under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
The resources of the PMNRF are now utilized primarily to render immediate relief to families of those killed in natural calamities like floods, cyclones and earthquakes, etc. and to the victims of the major accidents and riots. Assistance from PMNRF is also rendered, to partially defray the expenses for medical treatment like heart surgeries, kidney transplantation, cancer treatment, etc. The fund consists entirely of public contributions and does not get any budgetary support.
